A saxophone and an abandoned oil depot come together to create an acoustic world record.

The World’s Longest (Saxophone) Echo

The following audio demonstrates record-breaking reverberation time using a saxophone. The opening of Barry Cockcroft’s Ku-Ku is being played by Trevor Cox, an acoustic engineer and acoustics professor for the University of Salford, in the Inchindown Oil Tank that holds the Guinness World Record for the longest echo.

Trevor Cox also holds the overall record for the longest reverberation for firing a pistol in the Inchindown tank.
